Dr Chen has published several articles in peer reviewed journals and has contributed a book chapter on colorectal surgery.
Dr. Chen Chung Mingis a general surgeon who trained under two world renowned colorectal surgeons in Australia to hone his subspecialty skills in colorectal surgery. Dr Chen spent one year training in Sydney, Australia, in 2006, under the guidance of Professors Graham Newstead and David Lubowski, two world renowned colorectal surgeons.
On his return to Singapore, he streamlined and refined the colorectal service in the Department of Surgery, Changi General Hospital where he was a consultant. He developed laparoscopic colorectal surgery for benign and malignant colorectal diseases. He was subsequently appointed as Director of Colorectal Service and Director of Endoscopy Centre.
Dr Chen Chung Ming subspecialises in Colorectal Cancer Surgery and believes that early detection of colon cancer saves lives.
