Terry Teo

Dr. Terry Teo is a full-time Pedodontist (Paediatric Dentist) with The Dental Studio (TDS).

After practicing general dentistry for a few years at the National Dental Centre (NDC), he realised his calling in the unique rewards and challenges of treating children. Dr Teo was thus awarded a Singapore Ministry of Health Post-Graduate Scholarship to pursue a 3-year specialist-training course at UCL’s Eastman Dental Institute in London.

Having graduated from UCL with a clinical doctorate in Paediatric Dentistry (DDent) and a Membership in Paediatric Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Dr Teo returned to Singapore to serve the local population at the NDC, where he has practiced for nearly ten years.

Apart from being a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Dr Teo is currently one of the few paediatric dental specialists in Singapore recognized by the Singapore Dental Council.

Dr Teo’s research has been published and presented in international journals and conferences. He was awarded the IAPD Sam Harris Travel Prize for his research in Athens 2011, and he has spoken at public and private forums on child dental health. Because the clinical care and treatment of children with autism and special needs remains an area close to his heart, Dr Teo volunteers regularly at the Rainbow Centre.

Aside from his knowledge and experience as a pedodontist, Dr Teo hopes to translate his love for nature into his practice environment, so as to provide all young patients with a fun, unique and relaxing dental experience.
