Dr. Marc Tayis the Senior Consultant of The Lasik Surgery Clinic. In his capacity as Senior Consultant, he oversees the development of laser protocols and is consulted on medical-related issues pertaining to patient care.
Dr Tay worked at the Eye Department of the Singapore General Hospital, the Tan Tock Seng Hospital, the Toa Payoh Hospital and the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC).
He was a member of the Founding Group of Refractive Laser Surgeons when LASIK was first introduced at SNEC.
He was also the past Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board, East Shore Hospital, and the Credentialing Committee Chairman of East Shore Hospital.
Dr Tay has received several awards including the Royal Free Hospital Exchange Programme award (1983), the Singapore Surgical Society Book Prize (1984), the Overseas Service Medal (Operational) SAF (1991), the Liberation of Kuwait Medal (1991) and the British Gulf War Medal (1991).
